StarsFamilies.com writes about the families, relationships and careers of public figures. Here’s how we research, check and update every story, so you know what you can expect from us.
Where our facts come from
- Every key fact, like a marriage, a child, a date or a career move, needs a source, and we link it in the article.
- We prefer the person’s own words and official accounts first, then public records, then established news outlets.
- We don’t rely on gossip pages, forum threads or unverified social posts.
- We aim for several independent sources on every article.
How we handle net worth
- We never guess a figure.
- We only report estimates from named, published sources, with the source and its date.
- When sources disagree, we show a range and name each one.
- If there’s no reliable estimate, we simply say so.
- Estimates aren’t official financial data, and we make that clear.
No rumours
We don’t publish dating rumours, pregnancy speculation or unconfirmed claims about anyone’s private life. We take extra care with children and with family members who aren’t famous, and we only share what the family has made public themselves.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do, we fix them within 48 hours of confirming the error. Bigger corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with the date. To report a mistake, email [email protected] or use our Contact page, and include the article link and a source if you can.
Keeping articles up to date
We review and update our articles every 6 to 12 months, and sooner when there’s real news such as a marriage, a divorce, a birth or a new career deal. Each article shows when it was last updated.
Images
We use our own graphics, licensed images, or Wikimedia Commons images with credit and licence shown. We don’t copy photos from news sites, agencies or social media without permission. If you own a photo and want it credited or removed, just get in touch.
Guest posts, sponsored posts and ads
We accept guest and sponsored posts. They’re always clearly labelled, and they go through the same fact-checking as everything else we publish. The site also earns money from display ads. Neither advertisers nor sponsors decide what we write.
Our editor, ZeeWrote, is responsible for every article on the site. Want to know more about us? Visit our About page.
